Tips to travel

Image
It is time to show you my trips in Scotland !   To travel, you have various possibilities: by train, by bus or rent a car. I point out some things to know about the transports. Travel by train is easy between big cities. Moreover, people between 16 and 25 years or mature students can benefit of the  railcard for £30 the year which give a reduction of 1/3 on rail fares.  Rent a car is a good option to visit the north of Scotland but when we have under 25 years old, there is a young driver surcharge of £36 per day.  Finally, when you take the bus you have to pay the exact amount because they don't return the money (or you can pay by card). Edinburgh Edinburgh is a city with a real Scottish atmosphere with a lot of old buildings. I went by train from Paisley for £16 to come and return. It is more a touristic city than Glasgow: there are a lot of animations (like the Ghost bus tour ) and shops for tourists (like Harry Potter's shop). Y...

UWS and choose an accomodation

Image
For my first article, I want to speak about the university and advises to choose an accommodation . I study at The University of the West of Scotland ( UWS ) in Paisley . This University is composed of five campuses in the United Kingdom: Paisley, Ayr, London, Lanarkshire and Dumfries. In Paisley, you can study Business, Engineering, Health, Physical and Chemical Sciences, Social Sciences, Technology and computing. We are around 10 000 students and a lot of foreign students (French, German, Spanish, Italian, Finnish, Portuguese, South African ...). I study in Business and I can say that French people are more present in this section, it is surprising ! An other thing unexpected is the few hours of course we have: it is less than 9 hours by week. Indeed, we have to work by ourselves (reports, team works). UWS is a modern university where we have a lot of facilities . In the library , we can found various documentation for our reports. A part of the books are a...
